TAKA Izakaya offers an authentic, all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet with over 130 selections, combining a modern twist with traditional Izakaya dining. The founders, passionate about Japanese cuisine and culture, focus on delivering an exceptional dining experience, from strict control of raw ingredients to meticulous presentation. Aiming to captivate Malaysian millennials, they’ve created an inviting atmosphere that reflects their dedication to quality and authenticity.
TAKA Izakaya faced a significant challenge when the second wave of the pandemic severely impacted their business. With no prior digital presence, they needed to transform their operations to include delivery services to sustain their business.
We started from scratch, building TAKA’s digital footprint by creating their social media page, attracting initial followers, and turning them into loyal customers. Despite the absence of foot traffic, through trial and error, we successfully generated consistent daily delivery orders, maintaining a steady five-figure monthly revenue for the restaurant.

Our content marketing for TAKA served two primary goals:
• Attract new customers with mouth-watering visuals of TAKA’s food and presentation.
• Engage with existing customers, showcasing TAKA’s commitment to quality and sourcing of ingredients.
We strategically crafted engaging content for social media, designed to connect TAKA with both new and returning customers. Our goal was to make TAKA the go-to choice for any occasion, whether it’s a special celebration or a random craving for Japanese cuisine.

Running ad campaigns during the pandemic meant TAKA Izakaya’s physical store remained closed to walk-in customers, requiring a complete pivot to delivery services. We designed a strategy that packaged TAKA’s signature dishes into bundles, offering them as a convenient option for delivery.
By promoting these “signature boxes” through targeted ads, we achieved remarkable results. Our ad campaigns generated a 10X return on ad spend (ROAS), ensuring a steady flow of delivery orders and keeping the business profitable during lockdowns.
