We know that #choosetochallenge is call out gender bias and inequality, and the manifesto of equality between men and women era. Being involved in the traditional safe box industry, Xandra Yeoh, the Business Development Manager of Winsafes, thinks the world has never been equal, unless the harder we work, the more we will get.
“Hence, my biggest #choosetochallenge and some rooms to breakthrough in career are our business belongs to traditional industry, it always takes time to become more and more common nowadays, but we can’t control people mindset, that they think only rich people can afford to buy safes for keeping their valuables in the bank, while also lack knowledge about choosing a proper safety box. I need to put more effort into educating consumers about how the safes improve our lifestyle,” she said.
It is always not easy to conquer the challenges in a career, whereas Yeoh has quite a lot of activities and interests to maintain during her personal time, especially for orchestra and outdoor sports.
“I find it always difficult to balance work and personal time. I exercise almost every day and have to prepare for Chinese Orchestra groups for at least 4 activities per year on average. Apart from that, I often travel due to my job and seeing some of my clients and my workmates as my friends, so I learn to enjoy what I do, until the end of the day the sense of accomplishment will completely fight my exhaustion.”
During the pandemic, Yeoh has developed her own #choosetochallengethe strategy into the online live exhibitions through social media such as Facebook to share about the safe.
“We used to receive a good response through participating in at least 3 Mega Home Fair Exhibition/Furniture Exhibition yearly before the pandemic. But now we have to change into the online method, and challenge something that we never did before– the online live exhibition.”
