As the owner or stakeholder in an ecommerce business, you will need continuous innovation and motivation in order to maintain your site and sales. Now, let us share with you some easy to execute yet effective ways to boost sales for your ecommerce website.

1. Rich and Real Content

“Content is the KING!” said by many online marketers and SEO specialists. This is true, as any website that is without good content won’t be tagged as a good website. This is the same case for your ecommerce website, if you don’t have rich and real content on your site, you are just not going to be favored by both search engines and visitors.

Understand what your visitors or potential customers want to see. Are you selling books or other tech related stuffs for people who like read paragraphs and paragraphs of text on the features explanation? Then do it!

Write long articles and go all out on the features listing for all your products, because your people like to read and search engines love it too.

Or you are selling fashion related accessories like men’s clothes and ladies handbags? Then be generous on your product images!

Fill and polish every pages of your ecommerce website with rich content, in this way, your business looks more legitimate and credible too. However, remember not to COPY anything from others! Ripped content and plagiarism will get you punish by search engine as well as from the original content author.

2. Ensure Navigation Is Easy

If people are interested to buy your product from your website, make sure they know how to do it or can do it easily. The navigation on your ecommerce website should be simple, easy and problem-free to browse.

Make your menu useful and place it on the top or side, where your visitors can see them and use them easily. Use drop-down menus if you have too many categories to list, do not overload everything on your main menu.

The linking between pages and products should be seamless, where they can go forward and back easily without fail. Your buttons and menu should be placed in a prominent position as well, so visitors don’t get confuse and frustrated when they are trying to find that “feature” that they need.

 3. Get Social

Be socialize and engage with your potential and existing customers on popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Interaction with your leads help to keep them interested with your products and services, but make sure you do not overdo it by spamming them with your offerings and promotions. They just need a small dose of reminder once in a while that you still exist, and that is all you need.

You can also gather reviews and feedbacks from social network sites to understand how you can improve your product and service.

Social networks are also the places which you can share tips and knowledge that are related to the things you sell, and not just keep spamming your own products benefits. For example if you are selling dresses, you can share tips on how to mix and match on outfits which your readers can put them into good use. If you have any good knowledge, share them!

4. Give Attractive Promotions

If you are not making a super high pride and prestige brand like Apple, then you should do interesting and attractive promotional activities from time to time.

When you do promotions, make certain that you let your audience feel that you are doing it sincerely, and not in the purpose of getting tons of new sales.

Do promotions that have less terms and prerequisite. A straight forward cash rebate or discount are much better than Buy 3 free 1 for example.

You can also hold contest to give away some of your products, this can encourage interaction and exposure of your website and brand.
