Most people will want to drag you into making money online because by taking you in, they are getting some commission from their employer, very much like an insurance agent who tries so hard to sell you an insurance plan.

Now let us talk about building real business and making money solely from online.

No dragging of other people, no outdoor presentation, no scam. Just sharing some tips and ways that you can do in order to make money online.

 1. Create a Website or a Blog

No matter what you are going to do next on your online money making plan, the first thing you need to do is create a website or a blog. Without a website or blog, your business or effort feel “empty”.

You can go on and tell people how good your product/service is, or brag on how much you can earn by working solely online, but when you don’t even have a website or blog of yourself, you don’t possess much credibility.

Take website or blog creation as your first action and priority, then only make your next move.

2. Decide on Money Making Channels

Now that you have a website, you can monetize it. There are many ways to make money online with your website. Here’s a few suggestions.

You can sell an actual product like perfume, vintage coins or anything you can get your hands on or have connection with a supplier. Get your website to be ecommerce ready so you can receive order and payment directly and don’t waste your time on those manual operations.

Alternatively, you can provide service of your expertise. Are you a good PC repair specialist? Or a great accountant? Maybe you are one of the best English writer in your class last time? Now you can put all those expertise into good use, better, make money online out of it. Offer your service online, promote your service via your website. Let people know what you do and what you can do. Your website will be your portfolio and leads generating tool.

You don’t have any product or service to offer? Don’t worry. You can always sign-up as an affiliate of any other goods / service providers and sell their products / services instead.

3. Cater to Needs and Niche

The product or service that you sell or help to sell should always solve problems. You can target a niche, let say body builders. Body builders need constant supply of protein, but sometimes they just don’t know where to look or how to get the best deals of protein supplement. This is where you come in. Create a blog that have tons of useful articles on body building so you will attract visitors who are mostly body builders. You can then sign-up as an affiliate with any protein supplement company and sell their protein on your website. In this way, you do not need to carry stock or have inventory to worry about. For each sale, you will get commission from them.

Affiliate is not the same as the salesperson of a company. You do not have commitment, if you do not sell anything, you will get nothing and you won’t get chase out.

However, look out for for those fishy affiliate companies that sound too good to be true or always hesitate on their payout, you don’t want to get scam, don’t you?

4. Freelancing

If you don’t have much time to commit to make money online, then you can consider freelancing. Freelancer and Elance are 2 popular freelancers’ platforms for you to seek for freelancer job opportunity.

There are tons of different jobs that you can take up. Find anything that you can do and you have the skills for it. Most of these jobs are paying in USD, which is good as your income won’t be taxable.

5. Affiliate Money Making

Once you have built up your website or blog real good (with original and quality content), you can monetize it by becoming an affiliate. For example, you can sign-up as an affiliate at BagBeg and promote their handbags in your website. If there are any sales that made via your unique affiliate tracking link, they will pay you with commission handsomely. This is just one of the many affiliate that you can find in Malaysia.

Looking further, you can also become the affiliate for Amazon as they have thousands of products for you to sell. Choose whichever product that is related to your website audience.

6. Google Adsense

If you are a really good writer and have good passion in writing, you can write a lot of quality articles on your website and attract tons of visitors. Once your website have enough content, let say around 50 articles with at least 500 words in them, you can try to apply for Google Adsense. Google Adsense will pay you when your visitors click on the ads that you place on your website. However, they also will pay on per ads view too, which means even your visitors don’t click on the ads, you will earn, but of course the amount is very minimal.

7. Promote your website and blog

Remember, everything you do on your website and blog must be readable and reachable by the masses on the Internet. If no one is visiting your website, all your content is just a waste of time. So, you need to promote!

You can promote your website and blog in social media, forums, other bloggers’ blogs, email, or even paid advertising.

Calculate and plan out for your budget properly if you are going for paid advertising like Google AdWords. If you can make around $200 per sale but you only need to spend $100 on the ads to achieve this, I think it is pretty feasible, and great ROI too.

Lastly, keep in mind that everything you do, requires effort, patience and persistence. If you do not put a lot of effort in it, do not expect that you can make a lot of money online.

Making money online is not a shortcut to get rich, but it is an alternative way as compare with going to work for 9-5 traditionally.

No matter what you do, best of luck!
